Wandless · last updated 8 September 2026

Wandless collects nothing about you, stores nothing about you, and sends nothing anywhere. There is no networking code in the app at all.

What the app reads, and where it stays

Wandless is a mixed-reality game, so it does have to sense you and your room. All of it happens on the device, frame by frame, and none of it is written down or transmitted.

Hand posesRead from ARKit to recognise the gestures that conjure, throw and ward. Used for the current frame and discarded. Never written to disk, never sent anywhere.
Room geometryPlane detection and scene geometry, so a rift can pin itself flat to a real wall and a missed shot can hit a real surface. Used live and discarded. Never written to disk, never sent anywhere.
Your save and settingsYour descent, your sigils and your options are stored in the app's own storage on your own device. Deleting the app deletes them. They are never uploaded.

The system asks your permission before the app can use hand tracking or sense your surroundings. If you say no, the app simply cannot run its gameplay — it does not fall back to collecting anything else.

What the app does not do

While the beta runs on TestFlight

The beta is distributed through Apple's TestFlight, and that part is Apple's, not ours. When you join, Apple gives us the email address you used and passes along crash reports plus any feedback you choose to send. Apple's handling of that is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

We use it for exactly two things: to contact testers about the beta, and to fix crashes. It is not used for anything else, and it is not shared with anyone. Leaving the beta in TestFlight ends it.

Children

Wandless collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

There is no account to delete and no data of yours on any server — deleting the app removes everything the game ever kept, all of which lived on your device. If you are in the beta and want the email address Apple gave us removed from our tester list, email the address below and it is gone.

Changes

If any of this ever stops being true, this page changes first and the date at the top changes with it.
